Volunteer

Volunteering at Hope House is a great way to obtain community service hours and it helps us to meet our needs at the same time!

The following are descriptions for the Volunteer Positions that are currently available:

Front Desk/Donations Assistant
Description-The individual in this position must be 18 or older. This person will assist with answering the phone, routing phone calls, taking phone messages, greeting donors, and assisting with the carrying in of donations. On occasion, this person may be asked to do other light office work such as making copies or small organization projects.

Qualifications Sought-Good phone skills, pleasant demeanor and attitude.

Hours-We are flexible as to days and times for this position. Currently, our need is between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mon.- Fri. We ask for a commitment of at least a 2 hour block of time once a week. We can certainly accommodate a larger block of time as well as someone interested in volunteering more than once a week.

Day Care Aides
Description- The individual in this position must be 16 or older. This person will assist the children with homework, tutoring and interacting with scheduled activities.

Hours-Currently, our need is between the hours of 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mon.- Fri. We ask for a commitment of at least a 2 hour block of time once a week. We can certainly accommodate someone interested in volunteering more than once a week.

Qualifications Sought-Good interaction skills, pleasant demeanor and attitude.

Miscellaneous Duties
Description-From time to time we have various duties such as sorting can goods, light cleaning, straightening closets, painting and yard work.

Qualifications Sought-Pleasant demeanor and attitude.

Hours-We are flexible as to days and times for this position.
